The Solar Roofers installs solar panels, inverters, racking and home batteries across Nashville and Middle Tennessee, and we pick each piece for your roof, your electrical panel and TVA rules. Home solar runs $2.85 – $3.50 per watt installed before incentives. A Tesla Powerwall 3 runs about $15,400 installed, and Enphase IQ Batteries run $12,000 – $18,000 installed. There is no 1-for-1 net metering in TVA territory, so we size every system around the power you use at home, and the battery is what keeps it running when NES or MTE goes down.

The Solar Roofers · Equipment We Install
✦ ✦ ✦
| Battery | Capacity and output | Warranty | Installed price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tesla Powerwall 3 | 13.5 kWh, 11.5 kW continuous, built-in solar inverter | 10 years | About $15,400 |
| Enphase IQ Battery 5P and 10C | 5P: 5 kWh, 3.84 kW. 10C: 10 kWh, 7.08 kW continuous | 15 years | $12,000 – $18,000 |
| FranklinWH aPower 2 | 15 kWh, 10 kW continuous | 15 years | Priced in your proposal |
| EG4 WallMount All Weather | 14.3 kWh (280Ah), 140A max continuous discharge, self-heating | 10 years | Priced in your proposal |
| Generac PWRcell | 9 to 18 kWh usable per cabinet (PWRcell 2) | 10 years on battery modules | Priced in your proposal |
Specs are from each manufacturer's current datasheet. Prices are installed planning ranges for Middle Tennessee before incentives, not quotes. We also install the SolarEdge Home Battery, the Canadian Solar EP Cube, Sol-Ark 15K hybrid inverters, Infinity Rack racking and Tesla Solar Roof. The exact panel, inverter and battery models, wattage and warranties for your home go in your written proposal. On standing seam metal, racking attaches to the seams with S-5! style clamps and no roof penetrations.

About $15,400 installed, before incentives. Each Powerwall 3 stores 13.5 kWh, puts out 11.5 kW continuous and has a built-in solar inverter, with a 10-year warranty. One unit typically covers essential loads for roughly 12 to 24 hours in an outage, longer when solar recharges it.
It depends on your system. Powerwall 3 packs 13.5 kWh and a solar inverter into one unit for about $15,400 installed. Enphase IQ Batteries come in 5 kWh (5P) and 10 kWh (10C) units with a 15-year warranty and run $12,000 – $18,000 installed, a good fit for homes already running Enphase microinverters or for adding storage in smaller steps.
For essentials, start with about 13.5 kWh. One Powerwall 3 typically runs the fridge, freezer, lights, Wi-Fi and a gas furnace blower or small mini-split for roughly 12 to 24 hours. Whole-home backup with central air takes more storage and output, so we size it from 12 months of your NES or MTE usage and a look at your electrical panel.
Yes. On standing seam metal, the racking attaches to the seams with S-5! style clamps, so there are no roof penetrations. Shingle roofs need flashed, lagged mounts, often 40 to 80 penetrations on a typical array, so we check how much life the roof has left before any panel goes up.

Compare the exact installed system, not just a brand name or a battery’s largest number. A storage cabinet, hybrid inverter and solar carport are different products. The table already on this page is a starting point; use the linked product references to identify the model, documentation and design limits behind each proposal.

| Field | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Full SKU and document revision | Different generations, regions and suffixes can have different power, controls and warranty terms. |
| Nominal and usable energy in kWh | Define whether energy is measured inside the battery or delivered as AC. Avoid subtracting conversion losses twice. |
| Continuous and startup output | Include duration, voltage, configuration and temperature conditions. A short surge rating does not establish sustained output. |
| Backed-up circuits and reserve settings | A whole-home transfer arrangement does not mean every large appliance can run simultaneously or indefinitely. |
| Required gateway, inverter and controls | Confirm existing-solar compatibility and whether transfer, metering and load-management equipment are included. |
| Generator integration and expansion | Require a documented equipment combination and current firmware support; do not assume cross-brand compatibility. |
| Warranty and operating conditions | Record term, retention floor, cycles/throughput, registration, connectivity, temperature limits, labor, shipping and transfer rules. |
| Installed scope and remaining costs | Separate equipment, permits, electrical upgrades, service work and optional accessories. A manufacturer datasheet is not an installed-price quote. |
For example, Sol-Ark’s September 2026 15K datasheet distinguishes grid and off-grid power. The SolarEdge Home Battery North America datasheet includes placement-temperature conditions. Read the footnotes, not only the headline capacity.
Next, test the selected equipment against your actual loads with the battery-runtime worksheet. A product can have strong specifications and still be the wrong fit for your loads, site or budget.
